The sweet, fruity-yet-musty aroma of cooked bananas overwhelms your senses. A waft of cinnamon gently tickles your tongue. Slicing the moist loaf, the knife cuts through smoothly. Your mouth salivates with the thought of eating some luscious banana bread.
During the current quarantine situation, where we have to stay at home all day, baking has occupied a pretty major portion of my time. Whether you are just bored or desperately in need of a stress-reliever, baking is for everyone!
I have baked at least once a week, trying to brush up on my baking skills, baking a myriad of treats such as chocolate chip cookies, cornbread, brownies, and my most favorite yet, banana bread!
If you are looking for a very yummy recipe for homemade banana bread, I have provided one down below.

Ingredients:
2 cups of all purpose flour
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
¼ teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of baking soda
4 bananas (the darker the better! It adds an extra sweetness)
1 stick of softened butter
¾ cup of brown sugar (honey, maple syrup, or regular granular sugar is a good substitute)
2 eggs

Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350˚F
2. Mix all dry ingredients together in a large bowl
3. Mash bananas until it turns into a pulp
4. Make sure butter is softened
5. Mix butter and sugar together until it looks very creamy
6. Add the eggs into the butter and sugar bowl
7. Add mashed bananas into the bowl
8. Add dry ingredients into wet ingredients
9. Mix all ingredients (don’t overmix because it will add more gluten and the bread will be more dense)
10. Add any toppings you want! (my favorite are chocolate chips or coconut flakes, but the possibilities are endless)
11. Put into a greased loaf pan
12. Bake for one hour
